The Trail Blazers now get set to face the Denver Nuggets on the road Wednesday and Friday night.
Before tip-off Wednesday, Portland head coach Terry Stotts gave an update on expected minutes for Rodney Hood and Jusuf Nurkic, both who were limited to just 12 minutes during last Sunday’s game.
“Rodney is playing 12 minutes and Nurk is under 20,” Stotts said to start off his pregame media availability.
The Blazers will have the same starters as last Sunday’s game against the Kings:
- Damian Lillard
- CJ McCollum
- Derrick Jones Jr.
- Robert Covington
- Jusuf Nurkic
Coach Stotts also mentioned that the other starters’ minutes will most likely increase Wednesday.
Portland will, however, be without backup point guard Anfernee Simons.
Despite Simons not playing Wednesday, Stotts said he is progressing after suffering a hamstring injury in the second half of last Friday’s game.
After Stotts finished giving the injury report, he explained how different it is to travel for a game during COVID-19.
“It’s a lot different. We have four buses instead of two because we need to have space on the bus. In Colorado, there are no gatherings so we couldn’t have a team meeting or a team breakfast or anything at the hotel. Obviously, when you’re on the road, you go out to eat, so we’re limited with those options. Just from a routine that you usually have on the road -- that’s been broken up a little bit.”
The Trail Blazers and Nuggets will tip-off at 6:00p.m. on NBCSNW.
