Trail Blazers guard Anfernee Simons is getting set to enter his third year in the league.
We’ve seen his raw athletic ability, his tomahawk dunks, and pure offensive talent, but now we can learn more about another passion of his -- improving the overall social and economic trajectory for young disadvantaged adults as well as at-risk youth.
This season, Simons launched his Foundation, Be A Light Inc.
And now you can learn much more about the Foundation that aims to help youth in need.

One of Be A Light’s upcoming initiatives is a four-part Virtual Town Hall series, which starts this Saturday, Oct. 17 with a Q&A with Simons.
In the first episode of “Meet the Founder” Simons will discuss his journey to the NBA, overcoming adversity, and he will be engaging with fans in a live Q&A over zoom.
Be A Light’s mission is:
Simon’s foundation will be holding or has held several events including:
- A Back to School Backup Drive
- Meals to students doing virtual school at home
- The four-part Virtual Town Hall via Zoom to provide insight and to educate youth during the COVID-19 pandemic.
