Offseason Mario Hezonja is in full force.
The Trail Blazers forward showed off his new locks and fresh cut on Twitter Monday night and had us like, Mario… is that you?
Hezonja was standing in front of colorful, camouflage painting containing the words “No one becomes great by fitting in.” What a fitting phrase considering the 6-foot-8 Croatian’s latest look is so avant garde.
Several Trail Blazers fans praised Hezonja’s blonde moment.
Others felt Hezonja was unrecognizable.
You do you, Mario.
Last season, Hezonja shot 41.2% from the floor and 27.6% on three-point attempts while averaging 8.8 points per game. But from the bubble, Hezonja's numbers were less promising. The former fifth-overall pick went 11 of 29 from the field and 3 of 14 from three.
Hezonja has a second-year player option in his contract with the Trail Blazers and will likely opt in for 2021. If Portland returns Trevor Ariza, Rodney Hood, Carmelo Anthony and Nassir Little, the 25-year-old will continue proving he can add value in his role coming off the bench.
