Trail Blazers set heartbreaking NBA record in loss to Grizzlies

In a 130-128 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies Friday evening, the Portland Trail Blazers set an NBA record.

Friday's defeat gave the Trail Blazers a four-game home losing streak by a combined five points, a new NBA record as confirmed by STATS Research. The previous low was seven combined points (1992-93 Nets and 14-15 and 15-16 Magic).

Prior to the two-point loss to Memphis, Portland had lost to Boston Celtics, Denver Nuggets, and Los Angeles Clippers by a point each.

Overall, the Blazers are riding a five-game home losing streak, the longest for the franchise since a six-game home losing streak in 2017-18.

Portland has lost eight of ten games with wins over Detroit and San Antonio, however, as of late, the Blazers were a bucket away from winning four of those eight losses.

The Trail Blazers host Memphis again on Sunday, April 25th at the Moda Center where hopefully the losing streak will end. The game tips off at 1:00 p.m. PT on NBC Sports Northwest.
