Damian Lillard is in rarified air.
During the second quarter of the Portland Trail Blazers Tuesday night game vs. the New Orleans Pelicans, the Blazers star scored his 16,000th point to become one of three active players with 16,000 points in his first nine seasons.
Lillard also joined LeBron James, Oscar Robertson and Larry Bird as the fourth player in NBA history to record 16,000 points and 4,000 assists in the first nine seasons of his career.
Clyde Drexler is the franchise’s all-time scoring leader with 18,040 points.
There is no question that Lillard is one of the greatest Trail Blazers to play the game, but he continues to etch his name further in the NBA history books with his growing list of accomplishments and records. Congrats Dame!
