The Portland Trail Blazers shocked the Los Angeles Lakers by winning Game 1, 100-93, Tuesday evening to take a 1-0 series lead.
Can Portland go up two games in the series? Oddsmakers aren't so sure.
The Los Angeles Lakers are 6.5-point favorites against Portland in Game 2 in Caesars Casino & Sportsbook with a Lakers money line of -280 while Portland is +240. It opened at Lakers -5 in many books and appears to have moved to 6.5 in places such as Caesars due to the big money in favor of a Lakers cover, despite 65% of total bets on Portland to cover, per The Action Network.
The game has an over/under of 229.5 points, down a half-point from Game 1's total.

As for the series winner, the Lakers are -220 (was -550 before Game 1) and Portland is +176 (was +425 in Fan Duel).

Heading into the series, FiveThirtyEight predictions gave the Trail Blazers a 9% chance of winning the series, 2% chance of making the Western Conference Finals again, and <1% of winning the West and/or winning the NBA Finals. Now after the Game 1 victory, those odds shot up to 19% to win the series, a 3% of making the Western Conference Finals and still a <1% of winning the West and/or winning the NBA Finals.
Now for player props, Damian Lillard has over/under's of 34.5 points and 8.5 assists. He averaged 37.6 points and 9.6 assists in the NBA's eight seeding games, and 36.0 points and 9.0 assists against the Lakers this season. In Game 1, he had 34 points on 9-21 from the field and five assists.
CJ McCollum has an over/under of 21.5 points, Carmelo Anthony has some of 14.5 points and 6.5 rebounds and Jusuf Nurkic has 16.5 points and 10.5 rebounds. CJ scored 21 in Game 1 on 8-20 from the field, Melo scored 11 on 3-11 while grabbing 10 rebounds and Nurk scored 16 while grabbing 15 rebounds.
Meanwhile, for the Lakers, Anthony Davis has over/under's of 30.5 points and 11.5 rebounds, LeBron James has over/under's of 30.5 points, 10.5 assists, and 9.5 rebounds, Danny Green has an over/under of 8.5 points and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has an over/under of 9.5 points.
In Game 1, Lebron had 23 points, 17 rebounds, and 16 assists, Anthony Davis had 28 points and 11 rebounds, Danny Green had 10 points on 4-12 from the field and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored a single point on 0-9 from the field.
As for future bets, the Blazers are +1600 to win the Western Conference and +3000 to win the NBA Finals in Fan Duel. Heading into the restart, Portland was +15000 to win the championship in Westgate.
