Update at 9:45p.m. -- Following Saturday's game, Trail Blazers head coach Terry Stotts says CJ McCollum had x-rays and an MRI on his left foot and it showed nothing more than a sprain.

After playing through apparent pain, Trail Blazers shooting CJ McCollum did not return to the court in the second half of Saturday’s game against the Atlanta Hawks.

Anfernee Simons was interested into the starting lineup to start the second half. The team then announced that McCollum had suffered a left foot sprain and he would not return to the game.

When McCollum drove hard to the hoop with 7:22 remaining in the first quarter, he took a hard spill and it was evident that he bent his left ankle coming down after making the basket.

McCollum was able to walk it off and play through the pain for the rest of the first half.

Per Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, McCollum will undergo an MRI on his foot.

In 19 minutes of action, McCollum scored 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting to go along with one assist and one block.
