WNBA All-Star Kayla McBride is known around the league as one of the more versatile scorers.
The Minnesota Lynx guard uses off-the-screen movements to get the basket and score, and it replicates some of the best players in the NBA.
In an interview with Bleacher Report’s WNBA Talk, McBride actually named Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum as a player she likes to watch in today’s game
McBride gave high praise to McCollum and how proficient he is at creating space to get to his spots on the floor.
Later in the interview, McBride noted that her playstyle is more modeled with Klay Thompson, but she plans to try to out more of McCollum’s shiftiness into her game.
You can see what she means with her play being modeled by Thompson here.
McBride ranks 23rd in WNBA history in points per game at 14.7.
If McBride does add McCollum’s shiftiness to her already impressive game, the will certainly continue to be a problem in the WNBA.
