Biles near perfect on vault to snare yet another gold for USA

The summer of Simone is back in gymnastics.

Simone Biles and fellow American Simone Manuel have been two of the stories of the Olympics, and the U.S. gymnast strode back to the forefront on Sunday.

Or should we say vaulted back to the forefront.

Biles posted a near perfect 15.966 score in the women’s vault final on Sunday, creaming the field en route to her third gold of these Games.

Silver medalist Maria Paseka (Russia) scored a 15.253, while bronze winner Giulia Steingruber (Switzerland) recorded a 15.216.
