Bode Miller might not necessarily be the favorite to win gold in men’s downhill, but he put together a first training run that should at least keep him in the discussion. Miller topped the first downhill training session with a time of 2:07.75 on Thursday.
Patrick Kueng came in second.
At 36 and with a surgically repaired knee, it’s reasonable to wonder if Miller will participate in every training run. He simply told Alan Abrahamson “we’ll see.”

Miller maintains that the course is an extremely challenging one, but it remains to be seen if that ends up being an advantage or a detriment for the five-time medal winner.
