Olympic halfpipe champion Iouri Podladtchikov suffered a left ankle injury in training last Friday, underwent surgery Thursday and is out indefinitely.

Podladtchikov is out of the Dew Tour Mountain Championships in Breckenridge, Colo., in two weeks. The Dew Tour will include every other Olympic champion in halfpipe and slopestyle.

His status for the World Championships in January is unknown, according to the Swiss ski and snowboard federation.
