Lindsey Vonn goes undercover as Vail ski mountain safety officer (video)

Lindsey Vonn reprised her role as an undercover Vail, Colo., ski mountain employee in a YouTube video published Wednesday.

Vonn, who last year wore a hat and glasses as a ski ticket agent (video here), toted a megaphone to enforce mountain safety this time.

“Top secret mission: slowing people down,” she said. “Obey the rules, or you will feel my wrath.”

Nobody in the video recognized her in a heavy yellow jacket with an attached GoPro, goggles and her Red Bull helmet.

Vonn, who broke the women’s World Cup wins record last year, suffered an ankle fracture in a New Zealand training crash Aug. 13 but plans to train in Austria in mid-October and race in the season-opening giant slalom Oct. 24 in Soelden, Austria, according to Austrian media reports quoting the head of her ski equipment company in September.

Vonn’s camp has not confirmed the reports.
