Gymnastics coach Marvin Sharp was found dead in his Indiana jail cell Saturday night as a result of an apparent suicide.
No foul play is suspected, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
Sharp, who formerly coached Beijing Olympic silver medalists Bridget Sloan and Samantha Peszek, was arrested on Aug. 24 and was facing four felony counts of sexual misconduct with a minor and three felony counts of child molestation.
The Indiana natives Sloan and Peszek had not trained under Sharp in more than three years.
