McKayla Maroney, Meb Keflezighi get Topps baseball cards

Olympic medalists McKayla Maroney and Meb Keflezighi are featured in the 2015 Topps baseball card set due out Feb. 6.

A 15-card “First Pitch” subset of ceremonial first pitches is part of the card series this year.

Maroney, part of the 2012 U.S. Olympic champion women’s gymnastics team, threw an acrobatic first pitch at a Chicago White Sox game on Aug. 1, ahead of the Secret U.S. Classic in Hoffman Estates, Ill. Maroney didn’t compete last year after undergoing March knee surgery.

Keflezighi, the 2004 Olympic marathon silver medalist, tossed his pitch at a Boston Red Sox game on April 23, after winning the Boston Marathon.
