Russia has excelled the Paralympics thus far, including its sledge hockey team, which stunned the defending gold medalist U.S. 2-1 in group play Tuesday.

The Russians can clinch their first ever Paralympic sledge hockey medal if they beat Norway on Thursday. It will be no easy task, as the Norwegians have won sledge hockey medals at all five Paralympic tournaments.

The Russia-Norway winner will play the winner of Thursday’s later semifinal -- U.S.-Canada -- for the gold medal on Saturday. The loser goes to the bronze-medal game.
