Team USA’s Madison Keys advances in women’s singles tennis with 6-3, 6-3 win

Team USA’s Madison Keys defeated Montenegro’s Danka Kovinić 6-3, 6-3, to advance to the second round of the Olympic women’s singles tennis tournament in Rio.

The tournament’s No. 7 seed, Keys looked comfortable throughout the match and will move on to face the winner of Serbia’s Aleksandra Krunić and France’s Kristina Mladenovic.

The Round of 32 will be staged on Monday.
