U.S. wrestlers to face Cuba in ‘Beat the Streets’ in May on NBCSN

The U.S. and Cuba will face off in a dual wrestling meet featuring top 2016 Olympic hopefuls in this year’s “Beat the Streets” event in New York on May 21.

U.S.-Cuba was announced as part of a five-event televised schedule of wrestling meets on NBCSN, NBC Sports Live Extra and Universal Sports this season.

The U.S. and Cuba were two of eight nations to win wrestling gold medals at the London 2012 Games. The two U.S. champions, Jordan Burroughs and Jake Varner, are still active.

The 2015 World Championships are in Las Vegas in September.
