The debut of women’s rugby at the Olympics could hardly have gone better, ending with rivals in the final, and now the men will hope to match that terrific start.
Team USA’s men have a much tougher task than their female counterparts, who finished in fifth place on Monday with a 19-5 win over France.
World No. 17 rugby nation USA is in a group with No.1 New Zealand, No. 9 Argentina, and No. 35 Brazil. The U.S. will face Argentina and Brazil on Day One.
