You’ve waited long enough: Mikaela Shiffrin finally makes her Olympic debut on Tuesday in the giant slalom:

The giant slalom isn’t the 18-year-old’s strongest event, but she still has a chance to make the podium.

Slovenia’s Tina Maze ranks among the favorites, although she has struggled a bit in the discipline lately. Also of note: Austria’s Anna Fenninger, Swedes Jessica Lindell-Vikarby and Maria Pietilae Holmner and even U.S. star Julia Mancuso (although Mancuso isn’t expected to be a top contender).

Some injuries thin down the field, but it’s still an impressive group and should be exciting to watch.
