Joel Embiid will wear UA Embiid One Origin colorway in Sixers' game vs. Magic

Joel Embiid will wear his first signature shoe, the UA Embiid One, on Friday night when the Sixers play the Magic at Disney World, Under Armour announced.

The three-time All-Star gave fans a first look a few hours before tip-off.

Under Armour touts the shoe as “powerful enough for a big man, light enough for a guard, and quick enough to run the court.” The UA Embiid One origin colorway will be released in North America on Sept. 18 and worldwide on Oct. 2.

Below are a few more images of the shoe, from Under Armour’s press release.

When his signature shoe was first announced in January, Embiid said, "As a kid, I never could have dreamed of being in this situation with my own signature shoe. The process has been incredible with the work that's been put in. Not a lot of guys in my profession get this opportunity and I'm truly grateful for it. I can't wait to debut it on the court."

Embiid has averaged 32.7 points, 13.7 rebounds and 4.0 assists in the Sixers’ first three seeding games at Disney World. He’s expected to take on an even greater responsibility with Ben Simmons sidelined by a left knee injury (see story).
