Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie pays homage to Allen Iverson with custom kicks

Hmmm … Spencer Dinwiddie may be facing Philadelphia this evening at Barclays Center, but that doesn’t mean he’s totally against Philly.

In fact, he’ll be rocking a pair of shoes that pay homage to one of Philadelphia’s greatest legends and cultural icon, Allen Iverson. The shoes are custom tailored with the legendary “we talkin’ bout practice” rant” scrawled across the top and a depiction of Iverson on the sides.

Check them out below.

The shoes are part of Dinwiddie’s custom sneaker company, K8IROS, which employs a special type of foam called KronoFoam, that debuted on Oct. 16. The line is part of a charity called Project D.R.E.A.M which benefits youth programs. With each sale, Project D.R.E.A.M donates 25.08 percent of proceeds, his two numbers during his basketball career.

The Iverson shoes are part of a line of custom-designed kicks that Dinwiddie has worn to different games each season to pay tribute to various members of the NBA community, greater athletics, the media and beyond. After he wears the game shoe, they are auctioned off on his website.

The full line is set to drop in just over a month, and we’re hoping that there are lots of Iverson shoes available.
