Delaware KO'd by Charleston duo

CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Joe Chealey and Jarrell Brantley combined for 55 points as Charleston dominated Delaware 93-78 in Colonial Athletic Association play on Tuesday night.

Chealey was 8 of 12 from the floor and made all nine free-throw attempts for 29 points. Brantley hit 8 of 10 field goals and made all eight free throws for 26 points.

It was the second-straight game for Chealey and Brantley to score 20 or more points as Brantley had 24 and Chealey added 21 in the victory over Towson on Saturday.

Charleston shot 67 percent (32 of 48) from the floor and made 20 of 23 free throws.

The teams swapped the lead in the second half until Chealey had a layup and Grant Riller drilled a trey followed by a layup to start Charleston on a 24-10 run for a 77-64 lead at the 8:26 mark.

Eric Carter led Delaware (8-7, 1-1) with 23 points and Ryan Daly scored 18.
