After the first two nights of the 2020 NFL draft, it seemed like Eagles fans were starting to lose hope with some of the decisions being made in the front office.
That seemed to quickly change when it came to their first selection in the fourth round — where Philadelphia selected K'Von Wallace, a safety out of Clemson.
Following the news, Wallace’s former coach of the Tigers, Dabo Swinney, had some high praise for the 22-year-old.

K’Von Wallace is a graduate and was one of the most underrated guys probably in this draft. He’s kind of a Swiss Army knife as well.
He does all the dirty work and he doesn’t mind doing it. He can blitz. He’ll come fill the gaps in the run game. He’s an excellent special teams player. High character, a captain, and one of the most energetic guys you’re going to have on your team and just a guy I think is going to make somebody a heck of a player.
There is really nothing he can’t do. He can run. He’s got good size, strength, power and great versatility.
Based off of his comments alone, it seems like Wallace could very well be a diamond in the rough ... rough, meaning the first half of the draft.
One of the biggest takeaways from this is the strong sense of potential that will hopefully translate to the NFL, especially for the Eagles — as he fits right into the mold of his new team.
If things hold up and, “There is really nothing he can’t do,” like Swinney had mentioned, chances are Philadelphia is going to become a big fan of him — and fast.
