What is Eagles’ over/under wins total with 17-game schedule?

No more Doug.

No more Carson.

Enter Nick Sirianni.

Enter Jalen Hurts (we think).

2020 and its ugly 4-11-1 record are in the rearview mirror.

What the future holds no one knows but the sports books don’t expect it to be bright. NBC Sports betting partner PointsBet lists the Eagles over/under win total at 6.5 for the 2021 season. And don’t forget that’s with a 17-game schedule.

That’s the lowest for any of the teams in the NFC East. The Cowboys are listed at 9.5 while the Washington Football Team’s over/under is at 8. The Giants sit third with a total set at 7 wins.

The Eagles 6.5 win total is significantly lower than the last four seasons. Here’s a look:

2020: 9.5

2019: 10

2018: 10.5

2017: 8

One factor that may help the Eagles this year is they own the league’s easiest strength of schedule based off of last season’s records (.430). However, here’s some bad news: The Cowboys have the second-easiest schedule (.452) and are expecting to be at full tilt on offense with Dak Prescott expected back under center.

As for clinching a playoff berth, PointsBet is not giving the Eagles much of a chance. At this point, the Birds have the sixth best odds to not make the postseason at -385 (To win $10 you would have to wager $38.50). Conversely, if the Eagles make the playoffs in Sirianni’s first year on the sidelines one could cash in odds of +300 ($10 bet to win $30).

If you look back at recent history, Eagles’ head coaches in their first years have alternated reaching the playoffs.

Nick Sirianni, what do you say?
