Coming off a win over the Giants, the Eagles are in first place in the NFC East and can stay there with a win over the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football.
The Eagles are 2-4-1 and the Cowboys are 2-5 heading into this matchup in Philly.

And here are three important things to know:
1. The Eagles seem to be getting healthy at the right time. This week, they will have Jalen Reagor, Jason Peters, Dallas Goedert and T.J. Edwards back on the field. They also plan on having Lane Johnson at right tackle.
This week they’ll still be without Miles Sanders but he should be back after the bye week to face the Giants. Now, that doesn’t mean more players won’t get hurt but the Eagles hope to be much healthier for the second half of the season than they were for the first.

At one point the Eagles’ offense was down to just two original starters in Carson Wentz and Jason Kelce, so getting all those pieces back will really help for the stretch run in a very winnable division.
2. You can throw out the records when these two teams play. That’s an especially handy saying this week as the Eagles and Cowboys are about to face each other with a combined four wins. This is Week 8.
Yeah, it’s been an ugly season for both teams thus far but this is still a battle for first place in the NFC East against two bitter rivals.
Every year it’s fun to watch new players learn about the rivalry and this year that new guy was Darius Slay. After playing his first seven seasons in Detroit, Slay seemed surprised by just how serious the City of Philadelphia and even his teammates take the Dallas rivalry.
“Even in the locker room, everybody be yelling ‘Cowboys week, Cowboys week!’” Slay said. “It's my first time actually being a part of this. I'm blessed enough and fortunate enough to be a part of this. I'm excited for it. I understand how big it is, me being in a different division, we took the division games seriously, but I feel like this week is like a whole other feeling.
“I feel like it's like either Super Bowl or die. I’m like, ‘Oh my goodness you're serious about this. OK, let's turn up then.’ So, being that this is my first experience with this as an Eagle, I look forward to it. I'm looking for excitement and I'm looking forward to go out there competing against a Dallas Cowboys.”
3. As of Saturday afternoon, the Eagles were up to 10.5-point home favorites against the Cowboys. It’s pretty amazing to think of one two-win team being a double digit favorite over another two-win team, but here we are. There are a few reasons for this spread but the biggest is the Cowboys’ quarterback. With Andy Dalton concussed, the Cowboys are preparing to start rookie seventh-round pick Ben DiNucci.
This is just the seventh time the Eagles have been double digit favorites under Doug Pederson. They are 5-1 straight up and 3-3 against the spread in those previous three games. The last time they were double digit favorites was last year in Miami when they lost 37-31.
