Taking a look at five future offensive draft picks who stood out at the NFL Scouting Combine and the Eagles should keep an eye on leading up to the draft.
We skipped a lot of the first-round talent to find guys who will mostly go in later rounds:
Miles Sanders, RB, Penn State (5-11, 211)
After sitting behind Saquon Barkley, Sanders broke out during the 2018 season and then broke out again at the combine. He had a great formal meeting with the Eagles and they should be interested. He probably worked his way into the second- to third-round range. Just a really solid performance from Sanders.
40 time: 4.49
Bench: 20 reps
20-yard shuttle: 4.19
Justice Hill, RB, Oklahoma State (5-10, 198)
The undersized running back smashed the combine in the events he did. He had the best 40 time and the best jumps of all running backs in Indianapolis. He’s still undersized, but the numbers are eye-popping.
40 time: 4.40
Bench: 21 reps
Parris Campbell, WR, Ohio State (6-0, 205)
Campbell is definitely a raw receiver, but is a pure athlete who will also be a returner at the next level. Just get the ball in his hands for now, until he becomes a more polished route runner. He had the fastest 40 time among receivers and the third-fastest time overall this year.
40 time: 4.31
Bench: 11 reps
20-yard shuttle: 4.03
Emanuel Hall, WR, Missouri (6-2, 201)
I was in on Hall for the Eagles before his combine performance and now I’m even more in on him. After averaging 20.8 yards per catch during his college career, Hall put up numbers at the combine to further prove his capability as a deep threat. NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein even compares him to Mike Wallace.
40 time: 4.39
Bench: 15 reps
Garrett Bradbury, OL, N.C. State (6-3, 306)
It’s probably less likely that the Eagles will use an early selection on an interior guard, especially after extending Isaac Seumalo, but Bradbury is definitely worth a look. He can play center or guard and is definitely athletic enough to eventually be a Jason Kelce or Brandon Brooks replacement. He had the third-best 40 time among OL and the top 3-cone time.
40 time: 4.92
20-yard shuttle: 4.53
