It didn’t take Akeem Spence very long to find a job.
On Friday morning, just four days after the Eagles released him, the veteran defensive tackle has signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Jaguars are now Spence’s fifth team in four years.
Spence, 27, was released on Monday along with veteran nickel cornerback Orlando Scandrick. The Eagles then signed two rookie defensive tackles, Anthony Rush and Albert Huggins.
Spence was signed on Sept. 10 and lasted just six games in an Eagles uniform. He played a total of 203 defensive snaps. At this point, Spence has actually played 43 percent of the Eagles’ defensive snaps. That’s more than Vinny Curry, Josh Sweat and Daeshon Hall.
The Eagles signed Spence after Malik Jackson went down for the year. But after the Eagles also lost Tim Jernigan and then Hassan Ridgeway, Spence was forced into a larger role and didn’t play well. He played his most snaps (47) against the Cowboys and was cut the next day.
It tells you what the Eagles thought of Spence because to replace him, they signed two rookies who have never played an NFL snap.

This weekend, the Eagles will go into Buffalo with Fletcher Cox and those two rookies as their only defensive tackles. Brandon Graham and Curry can also play inside.
