Boston Scott leaves, returns with undisclosed injury

Boston Scott went into the locker room late in the third quarter on Sunday with the Eagles clinging to a 17-14 lead at FedExField. Scott returned to the field later in the quarter.

It’s unclear what Scott’s injury is.

This is even more notable today as the Eagles came into the game without Miles Sanders, who is still dealing with a hamstring injury.

The Eagles entered Sunday with just three running backs active — Scott, Corey Clement and newcomer Jason Huntley.

So if Scott is sidelined, it’ll have to be Clement to shoulder the load.

Despite having three running backs on their practice squad, the Eagles didn’t elect to call one of them up this weekend. Instead, the Eagles activated defensive tackle T.Y. McGill and offensive guard Sua Opeta.

Scott, 25, had 8 carries for 32 yards and 2 catches for 19 before leaving the game.
