The football world can't escape the NFC East

The NFC East looks like it's going to follow in the footsteps of the 2010 NFC West and the 2014 NFC South and send a team with a losing record to the playoffs. The division's futility has become a running joke nationally. If I have to read one more "NFC Least" gag, I'm going to lose it, though the moniker is more than deserved.

After suffering through grueling contests like the Cowboys and Eagles on Sunday Night Football, football fans thought they might have been saved from watching more slopfests going forward. Nope. The Week 15 Dallas and San Francisco game getting flexed out of Sunday Night Football was just a tease, as that game is getting replaced by another one featuring an NFC East squad:

This is just unfair to the public. It's even unfair to Eagles fans. After watching the Eagles slog through prime time slots and trudge through a current string of late afternoon starts, Birds fans should be allowed to unwind and escape the horrors that run through the division. Yet again, the world is out to get Philadelphia.

Hey, at least the NFL is reasoning that the Cowboys are no longer America's Team, right?

Dread it. Run from it. The NFC East arrives on your television at 8:20 p.m. all the same.
