Dak Prescott having trouble functioning with latest injury ahead of Eagles game

Some interesting news out of Dallas, where quarterback Dak Prescott now has a banged-up shoulder on top of some other injuries.

Head coach Jason Garrett revealed on Wednesday morning that Prescott hurt his right shoulder during the Cowboys’ win over the Rams and will be limited in practice to start the week heading into the Week 16 showdown at the Linc.

“They did an MRI and everything seems to be OK,” Garrett said in a press conference. “But he just banged it up and it’s hard for him to function right now so don’t anticipate him throwing much in practice today.”

This likely isn’t an injury that will keep Prescott out of a huge Week 16 matchup that’s basically for the NFC East but it’s something to monitor, especially on Sunday afternoon. The fact that the quarterback is having trouble functioning four days before the game is noteworthy.

What is Malcolm Jenkins doing with this information?

"Nothing," he said. "I’m pretty sure he’ll play. At least that’s what I’m gonna tell myself."

But this injury is on top of the sprained left wrist and injured right index finger that Prescott was already playing through.

Garrett was asked if he thought these accumulating injuries will affect Prescott’s play.

“Not really,” Garrett answered. “He’s a pretty tough individual. He’ll be ready to go.”

Since he entered the league in 2016, Prescott is 5-2 against the Eagles. He has averaged 230 yards per game with a total of eight touchdowns and seven interceptions.
