Jackson honors Kobe Bryant ahead of Eagles-Bengals matchup

We're a few hours away from kickoff of Week 3, where tension is high before the Eagles host Joe Burrow the Bengals.

A loss today would put the Eagles at an 0-3 start for the first time since 1999 – so any form of good energy is certainly needed heading into this one.

As players were making their way into the Linc for the second home game of the season, DeSean Jackson was spotted in gear that showed he's in win-mode today. He was repping Kobe Bryant from head to toe – with a classic No. 8 home jersey and Lakers shorts that held the late legend's other number, 24.

Jackson grew up in Los Angeles, California and has always shared his passion for the Lakers and Bryant. You might even remember his post on social media in 2014, following Lebron James and the Heat's collapse in the NBA Finals – where he was making his statement for the ever popular "Kobe or Lebron" debate.

(It makes you wonder what he's thinking now with James leading the Lakers to the Finals, but that's not the point of this post.)

Honoring Bryant didn't end there either, as Darius Slay also repped No. 8 on the field during warmups.

There's never a wrong time to channel the Mamba mentality – and even though it's just the third game of the season – it could be very telling of the coming weeks ahead.
