It turns out you’ll be able to be at Lincoln Financial Field after all this season. Kind of.
Following a trend we’ve seen in Major League Baseball, the Eagles are selling fan cutouts for Eagles home games at the Linc for the upcoming 2020 season.
The Eagles announced last week that fans will not be able to attend games at the Linc “until further notice” but Jeff Lurie is hoping fans will be back later in the season.
For now, cardboard people it is.
Cutouts will go on sale Thursday at 8 a.m. on the Eagles’ website. They will cost $100 and net proceeds from the sales will benefit the Eagles Austism Challenge. For anyone participating in the Eagles Autism Challenge, if you buy a cutout, your registration fee will be waived for the event in 2021.
If you’re going to submit a photo and purchase a cutout, the Eagles suggest you find well-lit area and have someone take a photo from you from the waist up with your arms down. They suggest you smile, but I suggest you make an angry face to give the Linc a real feel. The cutouts will be printed by RICOH.
All cutouts will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
