7:39 p.m.: The Eagles are going to the playoffs. They just clinched the NFC East with a win over the Giants.

Final: Eagles 34, Giants 17

They will host the loser of 49ers-Seahawks next weekend in the wild card round.

7:15 p.m.: Boston Scott can play.

He has 84 receiving yards and 46 rushing yards today. He also has three rushing touchdowns.

The Eagles are 6:14 away from punching their ticket to the playoffs.

Eagles 34, Giants 17

6:59 p.m.: The Eagles just extended their lead with a 2-yard run from Boston Scott after a big turnover from the defense.

Daniel Jones picked up a bad snap, but then Malcolm Jenkins knocked it out and Fletcher Cox recovered it on the 2-yard line.

Still 13:00 left: Eagles 27, Giants 17

6:52 p.m.: Big 50-yard field goal from Jake Elliott in the rain here at MetLife Stadium. He missed two from 50-plus last week, but made this one when the Eagles needed him to.

With 13:58 left: Eagles 20, Giants 17

6:46 p.m.: Tight game here in North Jersey.

After 3: Eagles 17, Giants 17

Meanwhile, the Cowboys are up 27-16 over Washington. So it looks like the Eagles will need to win to get into the playoffs.

6:42 p.m.: The Giants answer. Saquon Barkley went for a 68-yard touchdown and we’re all tied up again.

With 2:05 left in the third: Eagles 17, Giants 17

6:39 p.m.: Huge answer from the Eagles!

They just put together a 62-yard scoring drive capped by a 7-yard Boston Scott run. Miles Sanders has been ruled out so it’s all Scott. He had 32 rushing yards on the drive. The biggest play was a first down pass to Dallas Goedert.

Eagles 17, Giants 10

6:30 p.m.: Brandon Brooks (shoulder) and Miles Sanders (ankle) have been ruled out. Meanwhile, the Eagles’ defense got a huge turnover on downs. Cre’Von LeBlanc got a big PBU on fourth down.

6:16 p.m.: Uh oh.

As there was a damn near literal line to get into the blue medical tent, the Giants drove down the field 76 yards on nine plays to start the second half and tie the game. The biggest play came on a misdirection keeper on 4th-and-1 when Daniel Jones ran for 17. The touchdown was a 20-yard pass from Jones over Rasul Douglas to Golden Tate. Tate caught the ball despite DPI.

The Cowboys are up 20-10 at half, so the Eagles will likely need to win to clinch the NFC East.

With 9:41 left in the third: Giants 10, Eagles 10

5:51 p.m.: The Eagles have a lead at halftime, but they’ve also lost Brandon Brooks (shoulder) and Miles Sanders (ankle). The injuries just keep on mounting. They are playing well but have a one-score lead.

At halftime, the Eagles are out-gaining the Giants 232-108.

Meanwhile, Dallas is up 20-3 late in the first half, so the Eagles will likely need to win this game to get to the playoffs.

At half: Eagles 10, Giants 3

5:38 p.m.: The Eagles just took a lead on a beautiful pass from Carson Wentz across his body. But Brandon Brooks just got carted off after the PAT.

Still 1:52 left in the first half: Eagles 10, Giants 3

5:30 p.m.: The Giants just tied the score with a 37-yard field goal. The Eagles’ defense has held up but the offense needs to score some more points.

Still 5:16 left in the half: Eagles 3, Giants 3

5 p.m.: Not a very exciting first quarter. The Eagles have outplayed the Giants early but don’t have much to show for it. The Eagles are outgaining the Giants 118-16.

After 1: Eagles 3, Giants 0

(Meanwhile, the Cowboys are up 6-0.)

4:48 p.m.: The Eagles get on the board first with a 69-yard field goal drive. Jake Elliott hit a 31-yarder. The big plays of the drive were a 21-yard run from Miles Sanders and a 28-yard catch from Dallas Goedert on 3rd-and-7.

On 3rd-and-8 from the Giants’ 14-yard line, Wentz completed a 1-yard pass to Sanders. That might have been an opportunity to take a shot at the end zone. Oh well.

Still 3:39 left in the first: Eagles 3, Giants 0

4:40 p.m.: Big PBU from Cre’Von LeBlanc on Golden Tate on third down. LeBlanc was the nickel corner with Avonte Maddox and Rasul Douglas outside. Ronald Darby is on IR and Jalen Mills (ankle) is out today.

4:33 p.m.: The Eagles started the game with bad field position but ended up having a decent drive. But the drive sputtered and they failed to convert on 4th-and-7. The Eagles could have tried a really long field goal in the rain or they could have punted. They went for it and Big V got beaten badly leading to the incompletion.

4:23 p.m.: Giants won the toss and deferred. Eagles get the ball first.

3:46 p.m.: A couple pregame speeches that were very different. One from Carson Wentz. One from Jalen Mills.

Mills isn’t playing today but he’s still the hype man for the defensive backs.

2:55 p.m.: Lane Johnson and Jalen Mills are inactive:

2:51 p.m.: Some scenes from early warmups:

1:23 p.m.: I have arrived to MetLife Stadium in beautiful East Rutherford for today’s big game.

8 a.m.: It all comes down to this.

The Eagles certainly haven’t had the season they hoped for but they have a chance to win the NFC East if they just take down the 4-11 Giants today. That might not be easy. After all, the Giants took them to overtime a few weeks ago and are now coming off two straight wins. But the Eagles should get it done.

There’s also a chance that the Eagles could lose today and still make it to the playoffs. If Dallas loses to Washington, the Eagles would still win the NFC East. That game is also a 4:25 p.m. kickoff.

If you’re heading to East Rutherford today, bring a raincoat or a poncho. There’s some rain in the forecast for later this afternoon. There are expected to be a lot of Eagles fans at MetLife Stadium.
