Eagles hire Andrew Berry as VP of football operations

The Eagles have hired Andrew Berry from the Browns as their new vice president of football operations.

Berry, 31, had been the Browns’ vice president of player personnel from 2016-18.

If you’re wondering, Howie Roseman is the executive vice president of football operations; aren’t titles within big corporations fun?

Anyway, Berry isn’t replacing anyone. The Eagles simply added a young and smart mind to their front office.

Before his time with the Browns, Berry worked for the Colts from 2009-15. He was hired as a scouting assistant but spent his last four seasons as the Colts’ pro scouting coordinator.

A graduate from Harvard University with a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s in computer science, Berry was also a four-year starter at cornerback for the Crimson.

In addition to announcing a bunch of coaching changes, the Eagles announced several other front office moves.

• Greg Delimitros was promoted to vice president of equipment operations.

• Patrick Dolan was promoted to vice president of football technology.

• Jon Ferrari was promoted to vice president of football operations and compliance.

• Jeremiah Washburn was hired as advanced projects coordinator.

Washburn is the son of former Eagles defensive line coach Jim Washburn. Jeremiah Washburn was on Jim Schwartz’s staff in Detroit as assistant OL coach and OL coach. He was most recently the Dolphins’ OL coach in 2018.
