Eagles inactives: Calcaterra down for second straight week

Share

Eagles rookie Grant Calcaterra is inactive for the second straight week to start his career.

The sixth-round pick missed time in training camp with a hamstring injury but is healthy now.

The Eagles brought up Noah Togiai to be their third tight end for this game. They also elevated receiver Britain Covey to return punts.

Here’s a look at Eagles’ inactives for Monday:

  • QB Ian Book
  • S Reed Blankenship
  • RB Trey Sermon
  • TE Grant Calcaterra
  • DE Janarius Robinson
  • G Josh Sills

The Eagles went into this game with just 52 players on their active roster. But also called up a couple for this game.

Expect Covey to be the Eagles’ punt returner in this game. Covey was an electric return man at Utah and handled those duties well in the opener.

Coming into this game, the Eagles were incredibly healthy. The Eagles had all their players as full participants in practice on Saturday.

The only injury the Eagles are dealing with is to backup left tackle Andre Dillard, who broke his forearm in practice. Dillard had surgery, is on IR and will miss at least the first four weeks of the regular season. But he’s expected to return this season.
