Jordan Howard good to go against Washington; Eagles inactives

LANDOVER, Md. — The Eagles are without Miles Sanders but at least they’ll have Jordan Howard on Sunday afternoon.

Sanders was ruled out early in the week with a broken hand but Howard came into the weekend listed as questionable with a stinger suffered last week. But Howard is officially active and will play in Week 17.

So the Eagles active running backs on Sunday will be Howard, Boston Scott and Kenny Gainwell. It was a very good hint that Howard would be active when the Eagles didn’t elevate another running back from their practice squad.

Here’s a complete look at the Eagles’ inactives for Sunday:

  • RB Miles Sanders (hand)
  • LB Shaun Bradley (shoulder)
  • QB Reid Sinnett
  • CB Tay Gowan
  • T Le'Raven Clark
  • C/G Jack Anderson
  • DT Marlon Tuipulotu

The Eagles ruled Sanders out early with that broken hand but haven’t put him on IR, which means they’re hoping he’s able to return at some point.

Bradley suffered a minor shoulder injury on Saturday morning when he got into a fender bender on his drive to the NovaCare Complex. While the Eagles say there were no serious injuries, they are holding him out of this game for precautionary reasons.

This will be the second straight week with the Eagles’ offensive line intact. So they won’t have Sanders but they will have the OL that has blocked extremely well in recent weeks. Landon Dickerson returned last week after missing a game on the COVID-19 list.

This is the Eagles’ OL for Sunday (from left to right): Jordan Mailata, Dickerson, Jason Kelce, Nate Herbig, Lane Johnson.

The Eagles had several players take a stint on the COVID list this week but they got all but one back. The only player from their 53-man roster who remains on the COVID list is special teamer Andre Chachere.
