Eagles inactives: Ronald Darby and Jalen Mills return

ARLINGTON, Tex. — A week after the Eagles’ were torched by Kirk Cousins and the Vikings, the Eagles finally have some reinforcements.

Jalen Mills and Ronald Darby are both active for Sunday Night Football against the Cowboys.

Mills hasn’t played for nearly an entire calendar year after he suffered a foot injury on Oct. 28, 2018. Mills began this season on PUP, but began practicing this week and was officially activated to the 53-man roster on Saturday.

Darby hasn’t played since pulling his hamstring in the Lions game in Week 3. He had previously returned from tearing his ACL in the 2018 season.

With both players coming off injuries, expect some sort of rotation.

Here’s the full list of Eagles’ inactives:

Nigel Bradham (ankle)
DeSean Jackson (abdomen)
Timmy Jernigan (foot)
Avonte Maddox (concussion, neck)
Jason Peters (knee)
Darren Sproles (quadricep)
Nate Herbig

With six of seven inactive players predetermined because of injury, fourth-round defensive end Shareef Miller is active for the first time in his career. Herbig is the only healthy scratch tonight.

Since Peters is out, first-rounder Andre Dillard will make his first career start at left tackle. He played 46 snaps in relief of Peters last week.

Without Bradham in the lineup, expect Kamu Grugier-Hill, Nate Gerry and rookie T.J. Edwards to be the three starters in the Eagles’ back defense.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys got healthy in a hurry.
