Eagles running back Darren Sproles was at practice today as a limited participant for the first time since Nov. 7 and might be nearing his first game action since the opener.

Sproles, 35, injured his hamstring in practice after the first game of the season. The lengthy injury kept him out until earlier this month, when he returned to practice on Wednesday, Nov. 7, only to injure his hamstring again.

Since that re-injury, Sproles has missed the last three games.

Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said Sproles will practice in a limited capacity on Thursday as the Eagles begin their preparations to play Washington on Monday night.

“He so wants to be on the field so bad that it’ll be exciting to get him back out there today in a limited capacity,” Pederson said. “Regardless of what happens after the season, he’s such a competitor and leader of this football team. He wants to be out there really, really bad.”

• In addition to Sproles, Sidney Jones (hamstring), Rasul Douglas (knee, ankle) and Chandon Sullivan (injured in the last game) were at practice on Thursday. They were all full participants.

“We’ll just see. They’re day to day,” Pederson said. “We don’t want to rush them back or set anybody back, so we’ll mix them in and see where they’re at at the end of the day.”

• While that group of players was on the practice field, Jalen Mills (foot), Avonte Maddox (knee, ankle) and Jordan Hicks (calf) will not practice on Thursday and are probably long shots to play on Monday night. It seems clear Hicks might not be able to return for a while.

“Those three are probably the furthest away, even though Mills and Maddox are a little bit closer,” Pederson said. “I would say Jordan’s a little bit further.”

• Michael Bennett and Jason Peters were not at practice. Bennett missed because of his foot injury and Peters' absence was not injury-related.

• Brandon Brooks (ankle), Nigel Bradham (hand) and Tim Jernigan (illness) were all limited. Bradham had a big club on his surgically repaired left thumb.

• Mike Wallace (fractured fibula) and Mack Hollins (groin) still aren’t ready to return. Both Eagles are on Injured Reserve and the Eagles will be able to bring just one back after they already designated TE Richard Rodgers to return. Pederson said the team hasn’t yet made that decision.
