Eagles Injury Update: 2 key Eagles players return for Thursday's practice

Alshon Jeffery (chest) and Fletcher Cox (ankle) both returned to Eagles practice Thursday and were full participants. They should be able to play Sunday.

Cox was seen Wednesday in the locker room with his ankle taped, but the injury didn’t seem serious. And the early word on Jeffery’s injury was that it was nothing to worry about.

While Jeffery and Cox were back, Corey Clement (quad), Darren Sproles (hamstring) and Derek Barnett (shoulder) did not practice.

Clement was on a side field working with a trainer. But it’s not a great sign for Sproles or Clement that their injuries are lingering. Sproles hasn’t played since the opener and Clement was held out against the Titans as a precaution, Doug Pederson said Wednesday.

Barnett has missed the first two practices of this week with a shoulder injury we didn’t know about. He might have hurt his shoulder in Sunday’s game. We’ll get answers from Pederson at his Friday morning press conference, but it would be a big blow if Barnett can’t play against the Vikings. He’s been their best defensive end through a quarter of the season.

Jason Peters (quad) was a full participant in Thursday's practice.
