DeVonta Smith, several other key Eagles return to practice

Eagles receiver DeVonta Smith was back on the practice field Thursday after missing Wednesday’s session with a headache. He was a full participant

Smith, 22, has 32 catches for 406 yards and 1 touchdown this season. The first-round pick is clearly their No. 1 receiver.

In addition to Smith, several other key Eagles also returned to practice, including their two starting defensive tackles. Javon Hargrave missed Wednesday with a shoulder injury and Fletcher Cox sat out with a rest day as the Eagles began their preparation to face the Lions in Detroit on Sunday.

Of all the players who missed practice to begin the week, the two who missed again were Miles Sanders (ankle) and Zech McPhearson (hamstring). Sanders is week-to-week and was seen leaving the NovaCare Complex in a walking boot earlier this week.

In addition to Smith, Cox and Hargrave, Anthony Harris (hands/groin) and J.J. Arcega-Whiteside (back) returned to practice as well.

Here's the full injury report:

Did not practice: Miles Sanders (ankle), Zech McPhearson (hamstring), Ryan Kerrigan (groin)

Limited: Javon Hargrave (shoulder), Landon Dickerson (hip), Anthony Harris (hands/groin), J.J. Arcega-Whiteside (back)

Full: DeVonta Smith (headache), Fletcher Cox (rest), Lane Johnson (rest), Jason Kelce (foot/rest), Jack Anderson (hamstring)

Dickerson is a new addition on Thursday. He had been dealing with that hip injury earlier in the season. That'll be something to watch on Friday.
