Eagles injury updates: Eagles down three starting DBs

Eagles

Following all the Eagles' injury news from Sunday afternoon's game against the Saints:

7:19 p.m.: Josh Sweat got his second sack of the game and left shortly after. He went into the locker room.

7:03 p.m.: Malik Jackson is being evaluated for a head injury. Derek Barnett is sitting on the bench.

6:56 p.m.: Early in the fourth quarter, Malik Jackson and Derek Barnett got hurt on consecutive plays.

6:31 p.m.: Darius Slay (head) and Rodney McLeod (knee) have both been ruled out. That means the Eagles have lost three starters in their secondary today.

6:18 p.m.: Rodney McLeod and Darius Slay got hurt on the same play in the third quarter. Slay was able to walk off quickly but it took longer for McLeod to get up. Remember, these two injures came after an injury to Avonte Maddox.

Eventually, Slay went into the locker room and McLeod replaced him in the blue tent. And then McLeod went into the locker room.

So the Eagles are very light on DBs right now.

The Eagles had Jalen Mills, Nickell Robey-Coleman, K’Von Wallace, Marcus Epps and Kevon Seymour on the field for the touchdown run just after the latest two injuries.

And then on the extra point, Shaun Bradley got hurt and was on the ground.

6:07 p.m.: Avonte Maddox (knee) has been downgraded to out.

5:28 p.m.: Avonte Maddox is hurt. He was crouching at the end of a play late in the second quarter, came off the field and went directly into the blue popup tent. Maddox then walked very gingerly to the locker room. Maddox (knee) is questionable to return.

Without Maddox, it looks like Nickell Robey-Coleman is playing outside in the base package. But the next corner in will likely be Kevon Seymour, who was just called up this weekend. The Eagles are very thin at corner right now. Michael Jacquet (hamstring) is inactive today and the Eagles are still without Craig James and Cre’Von LeBlanc.

5:16 p.m.: Jalen Reagor is back in the game.

5:08 p.m.: Jalen Reagor appears to have injured his leg. The Eagles’ rookie receiver caught a 39-yard pass to end the first quarter and that was his last play before coming out of the game. After a brief trip into the blue popup tent, he has been trying to get loose on the sideline but doesn’t have a helmet on.
