A.J. Brown throws first pitch at Phillies game

A.J. Brown is officially a member of the Eagles, but you might as well consider him an honorary member of the Phillies as well.

Before the Phillies' tilt against the Rangers Tuesday night at Citizens Bank Park, Brown took the field to throw the first pitch, and he tossed a perfect strike (though it should be noted he did not throw from the mound).

Naturally, he got a pretty big ovation from the fans at CBP.

Pretty good arm, eh? Well, Brown's no stranger to baseball. In fact, he was a top baseball recruit in high school. He was even selected in the 19th round of the 2016 Major League Baseball Draft by the San Diego Padres, who still hold his rights.

But, of course, he's turned out to be fairly decent at football too.

Brown is expected to make an instant impact for the Eagles as their top receiver. Still just 24 years old, Brown already has a pair of 1,000-yard seasons under his belt. And had it not been for a pesky chest injury that sidelined him for four games last season, he likely would have surpassed the 1,000-yard mark a third time.

It'll be fun watching Brown play for the Eagles over the next several years, but if the Phillies ever need an arm in the outfield, they know who to call.
