Eagles stuff Falcons on 1-yard line; sound familiar?

The Falcons couldn't punch it into the end zone from the Eagles' 1-yard line.

Sound familiar?

Yup, the 2018 season began in much the same fashion for the Falcons as their 2017 season ended. Matt Ryan and the Falcons drove down the field, got all the way to the Eagles' 1-yard line on their first drive of the game.

And couldn't get it in.

Exactly like the goal line stand that sent the Eagles to the NFC Championship Game last January and sent the Falcons home.

This time, Devonta Freeman ran for five yards on 1st-and-goal from the 6. Then Freeman for no gain. Then Ryan threw an incompletion. Then Freeman lost one yard when he was tackled by Kamu Grugier-Hill on a run to the left.
