  • 8:20 p.m.: Eagles vs. Cowboys on NBC
  • 12:30 a.m.: Eagles Postgame Live on NBCSP
  • 2:30 a.m.: Birds Outsiders on NBCSP

The NBC broadcast crew for Eagles-Cowboys is Al Michaels (play by play), Cris Collinsworth (analyst) and Michele Tafoya (sideline).

Merrill Reese, Mike Quick and Howard Eskin will have the call on 94WIP.

As of Thursday night, the Eagles were up to nine-point favorites, according to PointsBet. After being underdogs in three straight games, the Eagles have been favored in the last two.

The referee for Eagles-Cowboys is Jerome Boger, so get ready for some lengthy explanations. Boger is now in his 15th year as an NFL official. The Eagles are 4-6 all-time with him as the ref. Boger reffed the Eagles’ 37-10 loss to the Cowboys at AT&T Stadium last year. In that game, the Cowboys were called for six penalties for 65 yards, while the Eagles were called for five penalties for 40 yards.

NFC East up for grabs

The division is obviously a complete mess. Because Washington is on a bye in Week 8, the winner of this game will have sole possession of first place in the division heading into Week 9. It’s crazy to think.

Right now, FiveThirtyEight gives the Eagles a 64% chance to win the NFC East, followed by Washington (20%), the Cowboys (11%) and the Giants (5%). So the Eagles are the favorite to win the division.

Here are the betting odds, according to PointsBet:

Eagles: -162

Cowboys: +350

Washington: +400

Giants: +1200

(This means you’d have to bet $162 on the Eagles to make $100.)

Will Dallas quit again?

If you watched that Dallas-Washington game last Sunday you probably came away thinking the Cowboys looked like a team that quit. That’s certainly what it looked like. This week, the Cowboys traded away Everson Griffen and then cut two veterans on the defense.

There’s two ways to look at those moves. Either they will serve as a wakeup call for the Cowboys who are left in the locker room or they’ll take it as a sign that the season is over and give up even more than they already had. It’ll be fascinating to see on Sunday.

Some key players back

It sounds like the Eagles will get at least a few key players back from injury this week, among them first-round pick Jalen Reagor.

Reagor hasn’t played since he injured his thumb in Week 2. But the kid must have Wolverine blood because he’s completely healed early and will be back on the field for Sunday Night Football. In those two games at the beginning of the season, Reagor had five catches for 96 yards but the Eagles are hoping he has just scratched the surface of his ability.
