The Eagles will finally get to pair Fletcher Cox and Malik Jackson in 2020, something that lasted less than one full game in 2019. And that’s exciting.
Those two played just a handful of snaps last season before Jackson suffered a Lisfranc injury that ended his year early.
So Cox and Jackson together should be good. But after that?
The Eagles will definitely need more depth.
Hassan Ridgeway and Timmy Jernigan are going to become free agents. While it seems likely the Eagles will be interested in bringing at least one of them back, that alone might not solve the problem. And there’s no guarantee either will come back. It’s also worth noting that Ridgeway is coming off a season-ending injury and Jernigan has dealt with injuries the last couple of seasons.
The only other depth players the Eagles have at DT are Anthony Rush, Bruce Hector and Albert Huggins.
