Earlier this week, Jaguars owner Shad Khan said publicly that he didn’t want to trade Jalen Ramsey.
Apparently, he really doesn’t want to trade Ramsey.
On Sunday morning, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that one source said the Jaguars are so firm in their desire to not trade Ramsey that they wouldn’t do it “for five first-round picks.”
If they’re that committed to keeping Ramsey, then the Eagles aren’t getting him. No one is.
The Jaguars have already reportedly been offered two firsts for Ramsey. If they weren’t going to do that, a deal probably isn’t going to get done.
Since Ramsey’s agent asked for a trade back in mid-September, Eagles fans have been drooling over the possibility of landing the Pro Bowl corner. He’s just 24 and is coming off two consecutive Pro Bowl seasons. And cornerback just happens to be the Eagles’ biggest area of need.
But this doesn’t seem like it’s happening. Oh well.
There are still plenty of other trade targets for Howie Roseman to go after before the Oct. 29 trade deadline. Our Andrew Kulp went through them earlier this week.
