Former Eagles linebacker Mychal Kendricks pleaded guilty to federal charges of insider trading on Thursday, according to Philly.com.
It's been quite a fall from grace for Kendricks. He went from Super Bowl champion to Cleveland Brown and is now facing possible jail time.
According to Philly.com, Kendricks faces a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison, although it's likely he won't see that much time if any. Kendricks' lawyer wouldn't say if he would try to get a probation sentence.
Kendricks made over $1.2 million by using illegal inside tips provided for him by his friend Damilare Sonoiki, who worked for Goldman Sachs before becoming a writer on the television show "Black-ish."
Why did Kendricks plead guilty?
"Because I know I was wrong," Kendricks said, via Philly.com. "I know that I made the decision to accept information, secret information, and it wasn't the right thing to do."
