Former Eagles offensive lineman Chance Warmack has taken the voluntary opt-out for the 2020 season, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.

Warmack, 28, was out of the league in 2019 but signed a one-year deal with the Seahawks in late March.

The former 1st-round pick spent 2017 and 2018 in Philadelphia, where the guard reunited with his college position coach Jeff Stoutland. In two years with the Eagles, Warmack played in 20 games and started three. Warmack began his NFL career in 2013 with the Tennessee Titans, who drafted him at No. 10 overall in the 2013 draft out of Alabama.

According to NFL.com, players who take the voluntary opt-out during the COVID-19 pandemic will receive a $150,000 salary advance, while high-risk candidates will receive a $350,000 stipend. Players still have time to opt out; they are due within seven days of the deal between the NFL and NFLPA.

According to ProFootballTalk, Warmack joins Ravens return man De’Anthony Thomas and Chiefs guard and doctor Laurent Duvernay-Tardif as players opting out of the upcoming season.

Meanwhile in Philly, there have been no opt-outs so far. The Eagles’ veterans will all be reporting to the NovaCare Complex by Tuesday for their COVID-19 tests. Strength and conditioning will begin Aug. 3 and padded practices are scheduled to begin on Aug. 17.
