I go back and think about what Big V (Halapoulivaati Vaitai) did in his first start. It wasn\u2019t perfect, but I think about what Andre did last week in Minneapolis. It wasn\u2019t perfect, but he\u2019ll learn from it and he\u2019ll get better.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTremendous athlete, he\u2019s smart, got a lot of confidence in Andre.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After playing just 16 total offensive snaps through the first five weeks of the season, Dillard got his first extensive playing time at left tackle on Sunday in Minnesota. With Peters\u2019 knee injury, Dillard played 47 snaps (72 percent).&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Like Pederson said, it wasn\u2019t a great performance from the first-round pick, but a look at the tape found <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsports.com\/philadelphia\/eagles\/eagles-film-review-encouraging-signs-andre-dillard-vs-vikings\" target=\"_blank\">plenty of encouraging signs<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>At least this week, Dillard will get a chance to prepare to be the starter instead of coming in as the backup like he did last week.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Against the Cowboys, Dillard will likely see a lot of Robert Quinn, but he might see some DeMarcus Lawrence too.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A few other injury updates:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022&nbsp;DeSean Jackson (abdomen) is now \u201cday to day\u201d but won\u2019t practice on Wednesday. That means rookie Andre Dillard will start Sunday night in Dallas.
