Lane Johnson carted into locker room during 3rd quarter

Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson was carted into the locker room at Heinz Field late in the third quarter with the Eagles down nine points.

Johnson (ankle) is officially questionable to return. Johnson has been dealing with an ankle injury all season and was in and out of the lineup last week.

During the week, Johnson said he had a cyst in his left ankle drained and thought that would solve the problem, but it might not have worked the way he wanted.

Without Johnson, the Eagles will need to rely on rookie Jack Driscoll.

Before the season, Johnson had a tightrope procedure done on his ankle to solve an injury that he’s been dealing with since the 2018 season. Johnson thought his ankle would get better as the season went on but we’re in Week 5 and he’s still dealing with it.

Doug Pederson said earlier this week that Johnson would need to play through the injury the reset of the season.

“Listen, it’s gonna linger,” Pederson said on Monday afternoon. “We’re at the point now where everybody’s body is sore and the injuries that we have, they’re going to continue. You’re not going to get 100 percent healthy. There’s no way. We just don’t have the time to get everybody 100 percent. It’s just the nature of the game."
